Before I began to read I was under the impression that the graphic novel could do little to impress me but this gaffe could not be more incorrect. The graphic novel centers around six main characters: Rorschach, Nite Owl, Silk Specter, the Comedian, Ozymandias, and Dr. Manhattan. These “masked heroes” do not have super powers with the exception of Dr. Manhattan. The background of these six characters is not given in the first chapter but given throughout the novel until the last chapters of the book; the reader is always finding out new information about the characters through excerpts at the end of the chapter, exchanges between one another, and in some cases the characters own words. The thing that is interesting about the novel is that it takes an objective view of the world; the characters face situations that show their views about the world and many times their views affect their judgment. The graphic novel has such a wide scope; moreover, it drew me inward because of my own ignorance of the medium. Ultimately, I’m glad for having read it because it was one of the most awe-inspiring pieces of literature to ever grace my eyes and captivate my mind.

I Love Integration

I like this problem; it seemed so hard when I looked at it, but when I integrate by parts it’s simple. The hardest part is the beginning, and this is true for almost every math probelm. When you know how to solve it all that matters is setting up the probelm into parts or stages. I don’t know, maybe I just say that because I already know how to solve it.

I feel as if I were John the Savage, unable to describe the utter fascination and disbelief for things. I saw myself today except, in another person; I felt the same way. Unable to converse with another and at a lack of words. I was amazed. (Like the Battles song Rainbow that I’ve been listening to recently) When I find something interesting it’s almost impossible to describe the feeling of bliss.

Why 1984?

I cannot find anything more ground breaking and magnificent than 1984. The novel makes the reader want to converse with the author. The novel just sings to all of humanity and rattles the cages of existence. It brings light to my absent mind. I myself am reeling with a lack of words for a something that seems flawless. There are no words- as if I were to say it in Newspeak- to describe the utter happiness and blissfulness I received while reading. The language used by Orwell throughout the novel sent chills across my spine. The reason I love this novel is because it does not cheat itself; the novel does not filter or cover its meanings it shows the reader its message raw. It knows what it is doing and it does it well. Every sentence, every phrase, and every character is planned; everything is throe as if it was calculated to the all degrees of uncertainty. There is only a sliver of joy in this novel, and almost all of the elements of the story weigh down on the reader heavily, darkly, and abysmally. As I reached the last pages of the book sheer fright ran through my body; I was waiting for the bullet to enter his brain.

A Derisive, Weird, and Trancendental Nerd

This is my first post! So I’ll say a little. Hopefully I can get some pictures and stuff on here. I’ll update whenever. I will mostly discuss games, movies, things that I find interesting, books, math, pictures, videos, and stuff of that nature. I might as well type the next post. So here is a little introduction; I love games. I consider myself a gamer, but I concern myself mostly with reading about games more than playing them. I love math almost as much as I love games. I’m fascinated with life, and I’m fascinated with greatness. (If this blog is updated long enough you’ll see what I mean)
